Get your free estimateThe Dryden Restoration Brooklyn Guarantee
Every job we take in Brooklyn comes with a guarantee that’s written down before we touch a wall, pull a baseboard, or set a dehumidifier. It’s called the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it means exactly what it says: if a covered repair fails within a full year, Dryden Restoration Brooklyn comes back and corrects it at no charge. Not a pro-rated discount. Not a service fee. Zero. The promise is documented on every job, signed and dated, so there’s never a question about what we’re standing behind. Carl Brandt, Owner, put this in writing because he got tired of an industry where the warranty was whatever the crew felt like honoring that week. In a borough where a water line break in a pre-war Park Slope brownstone and a sewage backup in a Sheepshead Bay garden apartment demand the same standard of care, the guarantee has to be real enough to hold up.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair we complete. If a seam opens, a patch fails, or a drying job we signed off on shows moisture again within 365 days, we return and fix it at no cost, period.
- Parts and materials we source and install. When a part we put in fails inside the guarantee window, we handle the replacement and the labor, no finger-pointing at the manufacturer while you wait.
- A written price before the work starts. The number on the scope of work is the number you pay, not a starting point that grows once the crew is inside.
- A committed arrival window. When we tell you we’ll be there between 9 and 11, we show up between 9 and 11, and we call if something changes that window.
- A cleaner job site than we found. We contain the work area, protect your floors and belongings, and remove all debris and equipment at the end of the job.
- Plain-English explanations throughout. We tell you what we’re doing, what the equipment is doing, and why it matters, using the trade’s real terms followed by what they actually mean for your home.
Restoration work we handle

Our Satisfaction Promise
If you’re not satisfied with the work, you call us. A live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, not a voicemail or an after-hours recording. You explain what’s wrong. We schedule a return visit and we make it right. The 365-Day Done Right Promise gives you a full year to identify an issue, and the trigger for a free return visit is simple: any covered repair that fails in that window. Maybe it’s a section of drywall that’s still showing moisture, a musty smell that returned to the crawl space, or a floorboard that buckled after we said the space was dry. Whatever it is, you don’t pay for the second visit. You don’t pay for the correction. Carl says the jobs that humbled him over 20 years of restoration work taught him one thing: you can’t argue with what the moisture meter says two months later. So we don’t. We come back, we fix it, and we document what went wrong so it doesn’t repeat on the next job.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee is only as good as the company behind it. Dryden Restoration Brooklyn is a licensed and insured restoration contractor, independently owned and operated as part of the Kingswell family of restoration businesses. That means when we give you the 365-Day Done Right Promise, there’s a real entity with real credentials standing behind the paperwork, not a guy with a truck and a mop who disappears when the invoice clears. Our technicians are background-checked and uniformed, so you know exactly who’s in your home, and our work is performed to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, the damage restoration industry’s recognized benchmarks for training and ethics. We run Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry equipment, the same pro-grade machines large commercial crews use, because a guarantee doesn’t matter much if the drying was never done correctly to begin with. Carl Brandt has this rule: never promise something you can’t put on paper and sign. Licensing and insurance are what let us mean it.
How the 365-Day Done Right Promise Works
The process is deliberately simple, because a guarantee buried in fine print isn’t a guarantee at all. Here’s the sequence from start to finish:
- Written scope and price. Before any work begins, you receive a written scope of work with a written price. You approve it. It doesn’t change at the door.
- Work performed to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. Our technicians follow the industry’s recognized protocols for water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire damage restoration, using professional-grade equipment to verify the result.
- Documentation of the work. We record moisture readings, relative humidity levels, and what was done in each affected area, so the guarantee has a factual baseline, not a vague promise.
- Free return visit if a covered repair fails. If something we fixed fails within 365 days, you call (607) 399-3439, we schedule a return, and we correct it at zero additional cost.
Why We Put the Price in Writing
The Kingswell Way has always included one specific value: say the price before the work. That’s not a marketing line to us. It’s the difference between a restoration company that wants a long-term reputation in Brooklyn and one that wants to maximize a single emergency call. We’ve seen what happens when a homeowner calls a restoration company at 2 a.m. in the middle of a water emergency in Bed-Stuy, gets a crew out, and then watches the number creep up with every hour on site. So we do it differently. You get a written price before any work starts, and that number doesn’t change. If we discover something during the job that genuinely changes the scope, we stop, we show you what we found, and we agree on a new written price before continuing. Carl Brandt, Owner, has run the company this way since it was founded in 2005, and he’ll tell you the same thing he tells every homeowner: if a contractor won’t put the price in writing, the price isn’t real.
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
We want you to understand exactly what’s included, so there’s no ambiguity. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers repairs we performed and parts we installed. It does not cover new damage caused by a separate, unrelated event after we finished the job, a water event that occurred in a different area of the home, or changes you made to the property after our work was completed. It also doesn’t cover normal wear and tear on materials over time. But if the repair itself fails, the promise holds. If you’re not sure whether something qualifies, call (607) 399-3439 and ask. A live person answers, and we’ll tell you straight what’s covered and what isn’t.
